Roman type came, not surprisingly, from Rome where the inscriptions in the Forum and on the Capitol provide some of the earliest examples of our alphabet. Trajan type is derived from these sources, and in Capitol Style we have imitated the blocked-out style used on Trajan's Arch. It is printed in raised Burgundy and flat Slate ink on Oyster Laid board.
